Gavin Newsom:<\/p><ul><li><a href=\"https:\/\/leginfo.legislature.ca.gov\/faces\/billNavClient.xhtml?bill_id=202320240AB1775\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-feathr-click-track=\"true\" data-feathr-link-aids=\"60cbc0c62fd8529850e4e373\">Assembly Bill 1775<\/a>\u00a0would legalize cannabis cafes\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/mjbizdaily.com\/netherlands-experiment-with-legal-marijuana-cultivation-expands\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-feathr-click-track=\"true\" data-feathr-link-aids=\"60cbc0c62fd8529850e4e373\">akin to outlets in the Netherlands<\/a>, according to Sacramento TV station KCRA. Last year, Newsom vetoed a similar bill proposed by Haney that would have allowed California marijuana retailers\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/mjbizdaily.com\/california-lawmakers-send-cannabis-cafe-bill-to-governor-newsom\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-feathr-click-track=\"true\" data-feathr-link-aids=\"60cbc0c62fd8529850e4e373\">to\u00a0operate traditional kitchens<\/a>\u00a0and host events on their premises.<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/leginfo.legislature.ca.gov\/faces\/billVotesClient.xhtml?bill_id=202320240AB1111\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-feathr-click-track=\"true\" data-feathr-link-aids=\"60cbc0c62fd8529850e4e373\">AB 1111<\/a>\u00a0would allow farmers to obtain a license to sell marijuana products directly to consumers at licensed cannabis events in sanctioned jurisdictions.
